I nuke mine in the microwave. If I'm going to go through the trouble of another method of cooking, it's going to be on something more worthwhile than a damned hotdog.

So I cook mine 1 of 3 ways:
Grilled - preferred, but only do this if I'm also cooking something else (hamburgers, grilling out, etc)
Microwave - lazy/easy.
Pan fry - Cut em down the middle, then fry on each side. Most of the benefits of grilling with less effort.
You know, I forgot about nuking them. Used to do that all the time. Put the raw dog in a bun, wrap it in a paper towel, and in a minute 20 you have a hot dog with a hot steamed bun.
I haven't done that in years.

Yep. Put the dog in the bun, wrap it all in a paper towel, and the steam from the dog steams the bun. 20 seconds too long and your bread gets hard so you've got to know your machine's sweet spot.

I forgot about pan frying them!
I need to do that again.
As for the microwave, that tends to leave them shriveled.
I pretty much only get Hebrew National, but maybe other brands do better?
