This computer-animated flick in by far the least shitty in the cinematic history of the entire franchise. The entire movie looks like an overly long 360\PS3 game cut-scene, but considering it's likely that your brain is already trained to be sucked into that kind of scenery, it's not a deal-breaker. Whoever was tasked with trying to make the original Japanese mouth movements sync up with the dubbed English dialogue looks like he randomly tried it for one five-minute scene and then said, "Fuck this impossible job."
Why is this the best entry in the series? Because here, I'm not supposed to believe a pint-sized Milla Jovavich has superhuman strength and speed to make her laughable choreography believable. Here, when someone gets knocked back half a football field, it's because something the size of semi did it, not the size of a diminutive Russian supermodel. And as I said before, I think your brain is more forgiving of video game-looking bullshit as opposed to live action movie-bullshit.
