Operation: Endgame

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

A huge cast of supporting actors play assassins for a secret government agency. On the first day of a new agent's job, the director of the agency, called Devil, gets murdered and initiates Operation: Endgame. In the chaos that ensues, the assassins all start killing one another.

Meanwhile, there's a subplot where Devil has all the secrets from the Bush administration on a disk. Lots of cutaways to Obama's inauguration speech too. Not sure if their intent was to make some bold political statement or just play off of Obama's promise of transparency versus Bush's no transparency. Either way, it doesn't work.

The plot is a convoluted mess. Just a horribly, horribly written film.

The performances by a few of the actors were decent, but a lot of them phoned it in, like Zach Galifianakis.

There are a few cool action moments and some unique deaths, but overall this film brings almost nothing to the table.

The biggest bright spot are the "watchers" who monitor the security cameras throughout the massacre. They are the source of all the laughs in this "dark comedy".

3 out of 10.
