Ricky Gervais is a NY dentist who goes in for a colonoscopy and comes out able to see, hear, and talk to dead people. Greg Kinnear is a ghost who wants Ricky to save his ex-wife, Tea Leoni, from marrying a bad guy.
Ricky Gervais is the selling point here. He's pretty funny as a bitter, self-centered SOB who finds himself with nobody in his life.
Most of the movie is standard and nothing you haven't seen before. Although, here the same old story is told worse than in other places. In fact, one could argue that this is a comedy version of Ghost minus the murder and Whoopi Goldberg.
Ricky Gervais is entertaining, but the rest is crap.
