This is an early opinion:
Graphics and sound are great. Equal to a standard PC on the market right now.
Gameplay is pretty good, although I'm not sure that I think it's perfect yet. I might have wanted more options in the buttons.
The setting and storyline are just fan-fucking-tastic. Zombies in a mall. There is nothing to hate about that.
The only real complaint I have is the save system. The developers had their heads firmly up their asses when they thought the save system was good.
Why do developers think it makes sense to only save in certain areas? Especially in games where the action is non-stop, you're being timed, there are only so many weapons, AND enemies not only respawn, but appear in huge packs at the points you MUST travel through to get back to a save point? Beyond stupid.
Outside of that, this game is a blast so far.
Dead Rising - X-Box
Some of the kills are just kick ass. Got a katana today and had a ball cutting zombies in half from different angles.
And there's just something about a chainsaw...
Also got to put big masks on zombies in the mall today. That's worth a chuckle.

Adam the Clown...awesome.
If it weren't for specific brain farts in the design like the save system, I'd be recommending people buy an X-Box 360, just for this game.
