Serious question: Should eSports stories be here or in Sports?

The UK is getting its first ever stadium specifically for eSports.

Video games go in the games forum, not sports. We don't talk about NFL instant replay in the Tech forum even though it's got cameras involved.

I don't think that's quite parallel. Esports aren't video games, they are a thing that's built up around video games. If you wanted to post about a movie about football you'd post it in movies, not sports. Same sort of thing here.

IMO if the story is mainly concerned with the game played in the esport, then it would best fit in video games. If it's mainly about the "athletes" or "stadium" or other trapping not related to the game itself, then the sports forum.
