I quit using them a few years ago due to the bulk. This bit me in the ass once, but I had the phone insured, so the cracked screen/etc got repaired.

You're missing "thin with big protection". I carry an iPhone 11 with an Otterbox Commuter case. Fits in my jeans pocket without issue and I can drop it without fear (and do often).

That's what she said.

Also, you are right. I'm not using a Commuter. I don't think?

This is the thinnest Otterbox case out there. I'm trying to figure out what model.

Maybe it is Commuter? Hard to tell from images on the web.

I know it doesn't add much in terms of size to the phone. I can't stand phones on their own. They're too slick.

This is a fair criticism. The front + back of the Pixel are both glass, so super slippery. The side is a slightly textured plastic. So grab that or it's breaking.

I prefer the slimness of a naked phone, but I do so much rough and tumble that I've always used a big thick case that doesn't fit well in pockets. Maybe now that the adventure season is coming to a close, I'll just buy a few of those thin screen protector films.

Now that you mention it.
