Why does it want me to enter a credit card number for this free game download?

This entire thing is a method of getting you to install their Gamefly client, which looks a lot like Steam. Can you even launch the game without having this client running? We shall see. Currently DLing the game... only possible through the client.

It appears one DOES NOT need to have the gamefly client open in order to play this game... so good.

How? It's asking me to have the client.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I had to use the GF client to download and install the game, but after that I could launch the game from Windows without having the client open.

I have downloaded it, but have not tried playing it yet.

Anyone tried removing the Gamefly client from their system? I'm curious to know if it will remove the game too.
