Ragtime - At 'Dem Flicks with Malcolm

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Synopsis:

Ensemble flick from the early '80s set in the ragtime era.

Review:

Not too fucking bad, which isn't something I often say about period pieces or movies with overlapping plots. Flick's based on a book that interweaves historical shit from the time with fictional elements.

Verdict:

See it, if only for Jimmy Cagney's part as a police chief chewing the fuck out of a douchebag fireman.

There's a scene with Elizabeth McGovern getting served divorced papers wearing only stockings.

Ahhhhhhhhh. The woman from Downton Abbey!

She was hot back then. I used wait for those boobs to show up on HBO.
