Watched this one because Bill Burr talked about it on his podcast. Apparently, his friend made it, so he did a cameo. I believe that he does his scenes with John Mayer. Yes, that John Mayer.
Listen, the title is Zombeavers so if you come in expecting The Godfather, then you're the asshole.
Girls have a getaway weekend because guys are dumb. They just happen to do it where Zombeavers have just come into existence. Hilarity ensues.
This movie mocks horror movie cliches, but in a comedic way without this being a "comedy". Everyone is playing things straight, but it doesn't have the same tone as Cabin in the Woods where everything was really serious. It's definitely meant in a humorous way.
Cute girls in it too, and one goes the whole first act topless, so that was nice. The other two are just in bikinis most of the movie.
I went into this with the expectation that it would suck, and was pleasantly surprised to be entertained.
If you like it, stick around for the deleted stuff they show immediately following the movie. Couple of chuckles there too.
