Tony Stark takes a break from pretending to be Robert Downey Jr. and takes a role in which he plays a slick, big city lawyer to go back to his small town for his mother's funeral.... and ends up practicing small town law defending his estranged father.
Seriously, Downey didn't strain anything stretching his acting chops, here. He basically does have a couple Tony Stark moments.
But Robert Duvall is in this, and Kingpin, and another guy I was pleasantly surprised to see, and even though it lacks Marissa Tomei as a surprise witness, it's a decent movie about family which, to its credit, does NOT take a couple predictable left turns.
