Watched this again so I can listen to the "How Did This Get Made" episode covering it.
Holy fuck is this a bad movie!
Scientists are searching for a cure to Alzheimer's, so of course they work with sharks (because...?) and genetically modify them to make them smart. So smart that they can fabricate plans to herd humans and trick them into doing things to sink a massive undersea complex. No seriously, that's the plot.
Why does Thomas Jane sound like he hasn't hit puberty yet?
On the plus side, the movie does have a very memorable death scene for Samuel L. Jackson.
Deep Blue Sea - Yay Netflix!
He should have smacked him. This movie is epically bad.GORDON wrote:Me and the kid watched this a few weeks ago. He enjoyed it well enough.

The HDTGM episode about this movie is one of the funniest podcasts I've ever heard. There's no way you can listen to it and then think Deep Blue Sea was a good film.
