Jack Reacher - Yay! Netflix.

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Tom Cruise plays a scientologist playing an ex army investigator who shows up to help bury a guy who snipered 5 random civilians in DC and has a ton of evidence against him, but then he sees that things just aren't adding up.

It drags a bit in places, but those are the parts where he is being all investigative. The parts where he straight-up murders people are the parts I enjoyed. I think that says I am not a nice person, I dunno.

Anyway, not terrible.

I remembered that I watch this. But don't remember it at all. Your summary doesn't even sound familiar.

I guess my review is that this movie is very forgettable.

On the other hand. Maybe I didn't watch it. . . Because I can't remember a damn thing about it. So, maybe I'm just used to seeing it advertised on Netflix so heavy, but skipping over it, that now I think I watched it.

Should I risk watching it again to see if I watched it?

At this point, I'm assuming I did not watch it.

Sounds like a porno of some kind. Jack Reacher? Goddamn, there's an entire series of books.

Worth watching if you are in the mood for a cross between one of his movies where he is a badass, and The Firm. Actiony and crime-scene-investagatory.

It wasn't horrible.

Without spoilers:
The plot is predictable. The baddie flirts with the "Scream 2 Ending". There is a SERIOUSLY anticlimactic moment.

The dialogue is decent. Action is great. Story is solid enough that you want to watch the end.

The worst part?
Reacher is 6'5" tall (1.96 m) with a 50-inch chest, and weighing between 220 and 250 pounds (100–115 kg). He has ice-blue eyes and dirty blond hair. He has very little body fat

His experience, skills, knowledge, and strength aid him in fighting as he is sometimes stronger than his opponents but often matched with similar or larger enemies.

Tom Cruise is Jack Reacher.

He has moments where you buy him as Reacher, and moments where you'll be thinking it's complete horseshit.

I agree that the dialog is pretty well written over-all. I guess I've gotten to the point where the action in an action movie should be pretty easy by now. Good dialog in an action movie? Now that's somewhat rare.

I was pleasantly surprised after all the bad things I'd read about it.

Perfect exercise movie for me... the action and the pit scenes were worth it. The dialog wasn't bad, but it was pretty linear/predictable from the setup.
It's not me, it's someone else.

The Rocky movies were always good workout motivation for me, I even had the 1 through 4 soundtrack on cassette at one point. Very pumpilicious.

You're just fantasizing about running on the beach with Rocky and Apollo.
