I caught this on CBS Sunday night. It's a Showtime series that just wrapped up its second season and CBS is airing an edited version of the first season on Sundays to fill in the gaps from the writers' strike.
I think I might just end of picking up the DVD set.
The show is about a forensics investigator named Dexter. He's an expert with blood and works for the Miami police to help them solve crimes. The catch is that Dexter is a serial killer.
Dexter works with his step-sister who is a cop and dates a formerly abused woman. That works out perfectly for Dexter as she has no real interest in intimacy and neither does he. Dexter contains flashbacks of his childhood and relationship with his step-father (also a cop) who apparently knew about his son's urges and might have helped to cultivate them.
Odd yes, but not when you take into account that the only people Dexter kills are killers.

Finished the season with Julia Stiles. I guess she was still hittable.

In the middle of season 7.... Deb caught him, and they are now working shit out. Captain Cunt is secretly investigating a blood slide. Hacker Magee just got shot in the head on Dexter's boat. Good times.

I wasn't the one who started the fucked up Dexter spoilers. Someone started talking about season 5 in the season 4 thread.
AND.... I thought it was Leisher who was the first one to watch the show, wasn't he starting all those individual season threads for some reason? As I said, I thought I was the only one here who hadn't seen it.
Also, we need to decide how old something is before we need to stop worrying about spoilers. For example, is it ok yet to say DV was Luke's father, yet?
