Again, Sony Pictures has no fucking clue what they're doing with Spider-Man.
You know what would be a great movie? An all female spider team where all of them are so unfamiliar to the general public that each would need a deep back story. That should leave PLENTY of time for group dynamics and a villain.
How can this fail?
Marvel has created an entire universe with films featuring The Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Hulk (the good one); a TV show featuring SHIELD; TV shows coming featuring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Power Fist, and the Defenders; and more films coming featuring more Avengers, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Inhumans, etc.
All the without talking about rebooting the universe because they fucked it up so badly.
Sony released three Spider-Man films and had already fucked things up so badly that they had to reboot. Two films later, and the character is on hiatus, and they're talking reboot again. Just sell it back already!
