Ben Stiller is a photo processor at Life magazine and he day dreams a lot. (He's basically JD from Scrubs.)
Life gets bought and is being closed, but he has to find a certain photo for the final cover. So he leaves his empty life behind to go on an adventure to find the photographer, and learns to live.
I just basically told you the whole movie, and honestly, I think that's what killed this movie's earning potential. Nobody knew what the fuck it was about. I thought it was like Forrest Gump or something.
The acting is decent, the cinematography is amazing, it's well cast and well directed, etc. I just don't think it's too interesting.
The whole movie is just one big motivation speech. "If you don't like your life, it's never too late to change it, but you have to actually do something."
It's a movie you can watch with the family.
I don't hate that I saw it, especially since it was free, but I'd never watch it again.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
One of the most boring fucking movies I've ever seen made worse by the fact that I feel the need to drive my fist into Sean Penn's face during every microsecond of his film time. We also see Ben Stiller's dynamic range. It was only a decade ago he made shit like this, playing a confused, neurotic pushover of a dude who hates his life. And now he's moved on to playing ... a slightly older, confused, neurotic pushover of a dude who hates his life.

Sean Penn is the most violent pacifist in history.
Can't stand that prick.
Forgot who said it, but the quote is something along the lines of: "He's won an oscar for playing a thug and a retard, maybe it's not acting."
