Bah!

Read the most recent Aquaman series by Geoff Johns. Issues 1-4 or so. He completely revamped Aquaman and made him cool. He didn't shy away from the public perception of him either.

He completely revamped Aquaman and made him cool.

Needs more work. His name's still Aquaman and he'll never be cool like that. It'd be like meeting someone with the name "Benedict Arnold." Too much history to overcome.

I find myself agreeing with Malcolm. Aquaman might be cool now in the comics, but Nolan still had to overcome batman nipples and the batusi.

But Nolan did overcome it.

Johns did too.

Also, Batman, both comics and the Nolan movies, is crazy overrated.

Batman started out cool, then got lame-ified during the campy TV show. Then Frank Miller came and made him a bad-ass again.

EDIT: The more I watch the Nolan Batman trilogy, the more my opinion of it lowers, especially the last one.
