Archie Andrews Dead

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

That's a significant minority and it all depends how you draw that spectrum up.
Bullshit.

1-2% tops.
I'll restate my numbers with respect to "people who will admit it" for argument's sake. However...
Studies from various nations, however, including the U.S., covering varying time periods and age groupings, have produced a consistent statistical range of 1.20–5.60% of the adult population.

Booyah. Maybe I'm colouring things with the people I've met, but 1 in 20 seems a very conservative estimate. Even that 5% is in the study's range, albeit at the high end.

I bet there's about one person not admitting it on the census for every one that is. So about 10% base line.

<2%, bitch
According to the Williams Institute review conducted in April 2011, approximately 3.80 % of American adults identify themselves being in the LGBT community; wherein, (1.70%) identify as lesbian or gay, (1.80%) bisexual, and (0.30%) transgender, which corresponds to approximately 9 million adult[1] Americans as of the 2010 Census.[2]

I'm still calling a substantial underreporting.

Maybe it's just the clubs you frequent?

Yeah. I've known a decent number of gay people in my life (not biblically), and it was generally due to clustering. Either friends of friends, or people places that gay people tended to go (particular clubs or such).

Very true. When I was getting sober, you'd think that 50% of the population was gay judging by the people in my therapist's office.

It's the people I knew that worked there, not went there.

Heh...

I guess only about 3% think they're gay, lesbian or bi.

Hah. Looks like gays smoke, drink, and fuck more, and generally take better care of themselves.

Right?
found that 1.6 percent of adults self-identify as gay or lesbian,

So I stick to my <2%.
