We can intentionally cause autism? You'd figure the autism rate in the countries we don't like would be going up faster than say, this country. I guarantee we'd dust every goddamned suspected terrorist cell with that shit.

"Good news. The terrorists can't seem to function as a cohesive unit anymore. Bad news. We're not sure why but they're all obsessively playing a piano medley of the themes from The X-Files and Halloween, it's creepy as all fuck, and we don't know how to make them stop."

I read about a decade ago that when Microsoft coders mated and had kids, their kids were more likely to be autistic, and they were suspecting that really smart people might produce autistic kids.

Never heard about it after that, though.

Same.

The most recent theory I've heard is that older parents (particularly older dad) = more autism. Which would probably correlate with Microsoft coders mating, and being older when making babies.

More proof that MS warps people's brains on a genetic level.

The age thing makes sense. People are waiting longer to have kids and I'd imagine finishing up with that later in life as well. And also makes sense that the age of the parents would correlate to vaccines in countries with the higher levels of education, etc. I wonder how the autism levels in the inner city and places like the Appalachian mountains compare with the rest of the country?

WSJ did that correlation, kinda... basically autism was well correlated with age of father, income, and wealth.

The former may be causal.
The latter are probably a) better healthcare access and b) overly concerned parents needing a diagnosis as to why their sunshine isn't perfect.
