Very much a chick flick, but good nonetheless because it is so well done. If you need to build some movie-choice points with your SO you could do a lot worse than seeing this one.
Me, I liked it a lot, but I'm a big fan of the author of the book it is based on. Although "based on" seems insufficient, as it's probably the best book-to-movie adaption ever put to film.
If it doesn't make you cry at some point, then you just aren't human. I think that might even include Malcolm.

I've seen the previews a few times. They made me turn away in revulsion. The plot summary on wikipedia made it worse.
