We need to bring back that Miss Chrisie or whatever that Catt drove away (one of the many :p ), and name the server Miss Chrisie's Wild West or some shit. Make her an admin and call it a day. Dipshit guys will flock to the server once they see a woman in charge.

Community Servers are Basically Official servers except they're hosted by players.
Modded are the same except the owners have changed aspects of the game ( Craft time, drops, ect, )

I have come to the conclusion that having a popular server is VERY time consuming. You have to have a decent sized team of dedicated admins pretty much around the clock. Cheaters are constant. People play on servers they know are being admin'd. The server we are on now is starting to ask for donations. And that is their long term plan. Hire admins, get donations, start more servers, etc.
But again, a busy server seems to be a full time job. As soon as there are hackers going unchecked, the population goes away.
So, my proposal would be something like: gather admins to run the hour by hour stuff. Then, we police the admins. Let them find/ban the hackers. Keep the community happy, etc. We monitor the admins and make sure they aren't spawning stuff for friends, etc. If we advertise for admins, I think you'd get a lot of people interested. That builds a small player base in itself. Then, I don't know.

No commands to see location, who's on, or get starter kits because that's not realistic in a world full of red wolves and bears guarding highly radioactive sites that don't affect them, but kill humans in seconds unless they pop miracle pills... Let's not even mention the invisible and invulnerable people restocking these sites.
