Movie Trailers

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

NATO demands some changes.

I agree.

Make me want to see the movie, but don't show me the entire story, especially the ending.

They can address overly long trailers when they stop the fucking pre-movie commercials.

This is the little dutch boy trying to save everyone by sticking his finger into the dam explosion.

There is so much wrong with the movie industry - especially the marketing - that this move is almost pathetically useless.

You're right on the marketing.

They spend soooooo much money on marketing, and not good marketing, but bad marketing.

The thing that always had amused me about their marketing strategy is that they try to make movies that appeal to as many demographics as possible, but then market it for specific ones. It makes no sense.

I don't mind pre-movie commercials as long as they are before the listed movie start time.

Also, good for the move by NATO... I have mentioned many times I hate major spoilers or plot twists shown right in the trailers.

Odd. Last flick I went to, I got the pre-trailer commercials, then the trailers, then some fucking cell phone PSAs, then the pre-movie commercials, then the fucking movie. End result? You can show up 20 minutes after the "start time" and not miss the start.

They aren't thinking about the content of the previews, just the length. I see no regulations that address alleged spoilers.

Last movie I went to we got to 20 minutes late, and didn't miss a thing.
It's not me, it's someone else.
