Battleship

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Seems like a lot of fuck ups for a species that has a decent handle on interstellar travel. Leisher's #3 plus G's series of Seinfeldian coincidences presents an alien race the likes of which has only been seen on Futurama. You sure this wasn't just a comedy?

The number of stupid things in this movie is very nearly equal to the number of things in this movie. It is badly written, badly acted, badly directed, and badly produced. The colors are nice. The worst crime of all is that Liam Neeson - who was barely in the movie anyway - never has a reason to say the line "You sank my battleship!"

Honestly the only redeeming part of the movie was Greg Gadson and the old vets on the U.S.S. Missouri. They make it worth watching, but only just.

If they brought their own comms, why'd they need ours? I realize it was destroyed, but why land near ours and then commandeer it? What was their mission prior to comms going out? What exactly were they calling home to report?

There's shit-tons of stupid in this movie, but I'm not sure this is one of them. Why do you assume that planet "G" was their home planet? Why even assume they came from planet "G" for that matter? This was just a small scouting mission of various solar systems looking for potentially useful planets that encountered our signal. They come check out the source and find a nice soft and valuable target planet, so they utilize local resources to call home to tell them where to send the invasion forces.

You know, the other ships not made out of sheet metal that could hit a light-weight satellite and not crumple ... even though the same ships can hit the water at high speed and sustain that much worse impact with no problem ... goddamn this movie was stupid.
