22 Jump Street

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Did this come out yet?

They're already working on 23.

I have no memory of it, but apparently it did. Or someone's fucking with us.
22 Jump Street grossed $320 million on a $50 million budget,

This movie was much better than I expected.

I'm still not sure if it was ACTUALLY good, or if my expectations were just that low.

But I laughed a fair amount. The credits scenes were good too.

I like how they explained the '22'. I didn't expect that. I liked the first one and thought the second did a pretty good job of being funny. This is NO Anchorman 2. I liked this movie. There was some really funny stuff, I thought.

I think this one was better than the first. More jokes, less just being crude for crude's sake.

Light years beyond Anchorman 2

This movie was terrible, but hilarious. It feels like they got this sequel greenlit and decided to just make a massive inside joke. It works though as I laughed a lot.

Do not come for the plot as it's beyond stupid. Lots of subplots that go nowhere.

But the jokes and comedic performances were outstanding. Nobody is winning an Oscar here, but when it was a person's moment to shine in a comedic bit, they did.

Sooooo many jokes about sequels and how they're always so formulaic. Hell, the entire credits sequence is a parody of that subject. And as Cake said, the explanation of 22 and the comment about if there's a 23 was funny as hell.

Jillian Bell, imho, steals the movie. She got amazing lines, but her delivery of them was perfection. She deadpans them as she tears apart Jonah HIll to amazing effect.

There's a fight scene late in the movie that's one of the funniest fight scenes in movie history.

My wife said it best when we were watching the movie, "This is pretty stupid and the story is boring, but leave it on because it's got some hilarious moments."
