Here's the twist though: This show and the new trilogy will share the same story, and they'll be intertwined.
This is interesting, and I think it makes sense. Consider that a large and growing portion of the TV audience is binge watching shows rather than tuning in each week, peeps can prep for a night at the movies with a session to catch up on the Terminator. Marvel is already tying their TV show with their movies, and the plan is to do the same with their Defenders shows.

Sarah Connor Chronicles was awesome and I was pissed it was canceled. I REALLY liked where they took the time line and was interested in seeing what they were going to do with it.
