There is a local area newspaper that gets dropped on my front porch once a week, whether I want it there or not. It generally goes into the trash can immediately, and sometimes I put it aside if I am planning a bonfire, soon.... and once or twice a year I will actually open it up and see what is inside.

There is a "man on the street" question section where peeps get their picture in the paper along with their one sentence answer to whatever question is asked. This week's question was, "If you could meet anyone from history, who would it be?"

There weren't any particularly insightful answers, but the last guy, he looked 30ish and well dressed, said, and I quote, "Jesus Christ, because I would want to meet the man who created the entire universe."

So there you go.

It's been a while since I've been Biblically inclined, but Jesus is God. Holy Trinity, all are one, type of thing.
It's not me, it's someone else.

That's crap, if Jesus is supposed to be both a man and God then he can't have been around before he was born in that form because the man part of him is shackled by the rules of cause and effect. Either Jesus' "one of you" PR was crap and there was no man part of him, or the whole Trinity thing is bull made up by the church to explain why Christianity is not a pantheon when in fact it is.

More likely it's all just crap anyway, of course.

Everyone knows Ra is the god in the sky and if you believe otherwise you are completely insane.

Everyone knows the gods reside on Mount Olympus and is you believe otherwise you are completely insane.

Everyone knows Allah is God and Muhammad His prophet and if you believe otherwise we will kill you.

Context is a hell of a thing.

Amazing how much spare time people had to think about such shit back in the Middle Ages and earlier. Wasn't there work to do?

Still waiting for my pony.

I saw someone, the other day, praise God's greatness because there was the kind of shredded cheese that they wanted stocked in the grocery store. I am not kidding.
