Yeah, he threw one out late last night, and the three of us were playing LoL. I happened to notice it between games.

1) Anyone for tonight?
2) Shall we use any more keys? I'm somewhat inclined to say no. The chances of getting a practical purple gun of your type you're hoping for are crap compared to getting a purple thing you don't want but will just sell for cash.

1) Not unless I get knocked out of poker super early.
2) Yeah, I'm going to say no for now. That SMG I got is melting folks right now, so why do I need something new? I'll wait until the SMG starts losing effectiveness.

We're lvl 13. Not sure who received the best weapon so far, but there were a couple of duds.

I think most of us have at least 9 gold keys now.

G's used 2 keys. Leish, Cake, and I used one each. I got a single purple missile launcher from mine. I think I'm the only one not packing a purple as a standard weapon.

Some purples are better than golds, and many times the level of the weapon is much more important than the color, but not always. I did have a gold level 30 shotty that was pretty solid until i got to level 40. But on most occasions i found a level 35 green was better than a level 30 blue or even purple.

Think I got a blue SMG, green pistol, green sniper, green shotty, purple launcher.

I remember BL1 handing out some blue weapons that demonstrated no statistical differences from golds or purples. I also know BL1 weapons had hidden attributes (like stability during aiming/firing) that they didn't display. I was hoping they'd lay all that out for the sequel. I guess people can only handle comparing so many arrows at once.

Yes, there are guns that do things that you would have no idea what they do until you fire them. Some will have cool visual effects, or riccochet, or i even found one that talked.. Hilarious!

Sometimes i try and compare similar guns by looking at what they are worth, but that doesn't always seem to add up either. I've had blue guns that do less damage, accurace, ect. and yet it's worth more than a purple with better stats all around. Not sure how that happens. My advice is to get to know the manufacturers, like all Tediors will act like a grenade when you reload, and Jacobs tend to have the highest damage but they are semi-auto. and Hyperion are always elemental weapons. This helps me when deciding between two simialar guns.

More SHIFT codes starting tomorrow at 11 EST. They seem to be for Halloween themed skins.

According to the article these codes will be good through Sunday.

So no day off required.

By the way, it's obviously Halloween, so while I'll be on tonight, it might not be until 10 or so. I'm down for BL2 or LoL.
