The King also had the worse accuracy ratings of any of the seven fast-food joints surveyed. BK got orders correct only 83% of the time. Chick-fil-A, on the other hand, correctly got 92.4% of orders right.

Seriously? 83%?

And Burger King is slow
According to a study commissioned by QSR magazine (that’s short-hand for “quick-service restaurants,” by the way), it takes 201.33 seconds – about 3 minutes 20 seconds – on average to get through a Burger King drive-thru. That might not seem like much. But it’s a near-eternity compared to Wendy’s, a perennial winner in QSR’s survey, which gets people in and out of the drive-thru in 129.75 seconds on average, more than a full minute faster.

One of many reasons why I avoid the everloving fuck out of any and all fast food joints.

Where are these Wendy's? All of the Wendy's in my area get our order wrong about 60% of the time. Even when I'm on the road, I have a much higher percentage of errors coming from Wendy's than other places. Problem is, I like Wendy's more than the other places. So, I keep going back in spite of the errors.

However, there is one Burger King that ALWAYS. And I mean ALWAYS has perfect fries. The fries are EXACTLY how they are supposed to be. So are the tots. I have been going there for over 12 years and they've NEVER had bad fries. Considering how much of a crap shoot fries are any place you go, I think this is pretty amazing. Like, monkeys typing the works of Shakespeare amazing. Prefect fries, EVERY time, for over 12 years. And that's just since I've been going there. No telling how long before that.

Sometimes I forget though. It's in a convenient location when I'm heading south. And just this morning, I stopped for breakfast. I'm driving, and it's dark and I'm not paying attention. Eat the first tot "Damn, this is good." Look down, perfect tots. Then I remember. "Oh, ya, of course they are."

They NEVER miss.

First, I do like BK fries. But anyway, on the real topic:

I wonder how much of it is communication. I've never worked at one of these places so I have no idea how clear the orders sound when they come through.

Part of it though HAS to be the quality of the staff. I mean come on: it's not like they're hiring rocket surgeons.

And also, fine, I'll play the race card. I notice the employee demographics at Chick Fil A are QUITE different from all the other places.

In general, I've noticed the best way to get your order right is to just order exactly what's on the menu, no customizations, etc.

That being said, my favorite item at McDonalds is "Southwest salad with crispy chicken" but 15% of the time, even with how simple that order is, I still get grilled chicken instead.

Best experience near me: wendy's gets it right 99%at of the time... i only get bad wendys orders in other cities.

Once had outright beligerance when i went into BK to make.them fix my order that they missed by a mile. In the back of the restaurant i saw the fat, white, female manager being rowdy with the all black male staff.
