Neat! I'd seen something almost exactly like that before, but this one had some new stuff the other didn't.
I wish it were constructed slightly differently. The way it's built I have to really concentrate to get the feeling that it's magnification that I'm seeing instead of forward or backward motion through a field of similar-sized objects. The one I've seen that did that part better didn't do circular expansion but purely left and right moving outwards with no up and down component to the motion. The lack of circular symmetry in the motion breaks the feeling of movement and makes it easier to maintain the illusion of magnification.
