Danny McBride is the lazy and selfish younger brother of James Franco who is the kingdom's hero and about to be married. Then the bad guy shows up and Danny is forced onto a quest with his brother. They meet Natalie Portman along the way.
In terms of plot, this movie beyond sucks. It's supposed to be a mockery of fantasy themed movies, and I guess romantic comedies, but it is way too heavy handed. Picture a Mel Brooks film with no subtlety, and every joke is a vulgar sex joke. That's this film.
And yes, there are vulgar sex jokes. That's the whole film. Molestation, rape, jizzing on everything, orgies, bestiality, etc. that's every joke in the film. I'm not kidding.
If you think that is hilarious, and people talking like they're reading Shakespeare, except they're saying fuck every other word, then this movie is for you.
I'll admit that I got some chuckles, but this is not a good movie.
Still, I'd say it'd be worth checking out once, but not with your significant other. If for nothing else then Natalie Portman's pre-baby ass. (Was that her ass?) Put the movie on while you're playing a video game so you won't call the whole 90 minutes a waste of time.
