I don't know if this is a remake, but it has Ed Norton as a retired FBI agent and Anthony Hopkins reprising his roll as Hannibal Lecter. Prequel to Silence of the Lambs. Strange since Hopkins looks older than he did in SotL.

It was ok. Worth seeing once if you have nothing else to watch, which is why I watched it.

I liked the other prequel better, I think it was called Hannibal, about his childhood.

It is a remake of the film Manhunter. That one had a different Hannibal(brian cox I believe).

Remake indeed. The other film when he was younger was "Hannibal Rising." "Hannibal" was the first sequel flick that pretty much only Hopkins agreed to come back for.
