Another Wikileaks Headline - Saudi Oil

The Saudis might be out of oil.

Considering what's going on in Egypt, this would be an interesting development. What does an entire region of the planet do when their one and only industry goes tits up?

Oddly enough, this story was also on the front page of Yahoo where I saw the story above (have fun with this conspiracy theorists): The U.S. figured out how to drill western oil fields.

If the Saudis start petering out, the Russians look to be the next big, cheapish source.

It would be hilarious to see a Saudi Arabia with no oil money coming in.

The lack of oil dollars flowing in just means the local warlords/sheiks/whatever are going to be considerably less comfy unless they prepare for peasant revolution. I'm fairly certain the brain-washees around there will be less receptive to suicide bombing when they have to worry about the gov't not compensating their families for going kablooie.
