Colorado is officially headed to the Pac 10.
Nebraska is apparently announcing their departure to the Big Ten tomorrow. Missouri may follow as well.
Texas, Texas A&M (the main reason Texas isn't joining the Big Ten), Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State are all rumored to be headed to the Pac 10 as well.
Other Big Ten potentials are Rutgers and Notre Dame.
It's also being said that Kansas is begging to get into the Big Ten because they know they're fucked without a big conference.
They say the remnants of the Big 12 might merge with someone like the Mountain west or Big Sky. Ouch.
Bye Bye Big 12

Missouri will be begging to join the Big 10. They were the first to say they would leave the conference when this was just speculation early on. The same orangeblood.com that has been reporting all of this has said that if the Big 12 stayed together there were enough votes from the other members to kick Missouri out because of their flirting with the Big 10 earlier.
As for Kansas I don't see why the Big 10 wouldn't want them. Not a powerhouse in football which is driving all this but a real nice addition to your basketball conferences RPI. There has also been some suggestions that the ACC will look to add Kansas and Kansas State to improve their basketball RPI when the inevitable happens and Florida St. and Miami join the SEC. Also the two Kansas schools seem to be trying to look out for each other and offer themselves as a package deal but when it comes down to it I can't see Kansas hurting themselves for a rival.
I think notre dame stays the way they are because none of these scenarios seem to have any effect on the Big East which is all they care about for their other sports and the Big East isn't going to kick them out for not being a football member no matter the shit they talk. There is more cash in the Big Ten even with their NBC contract but I think they stay were they are unless it looks like the realignment keeps them out of the Big 10 in the future.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State seem to be more of a fit in the Big Ten then the Pac 10 to me but the rest of the Texas teams still give them a division with close opponents.

This pretty much means my alma matter is just going to get its ass kicked worse in football, baseball, & basketball now. But all them incoming hockey teams are going to get torn a new one.
