Employee of the Month - Minor spoilers?

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Matt Dillon, Steve Zahn, Christina Applegate, and Dave Foley.

Dillon is a guy who has it all until a day comes along in which he loses everything. Familiar story right? Its not.

I honestly can't really talk about the plot of this film more than that without spoiling it, so I won't even try.

The concept behind this film isn't original, but the way this particular story is told makes it seem original. Think of a film where the main character loses everything in one day, now sprinkle in bits of Groundhog's Day and The Usual Suspects, that would accurately describe Employee of the Month.

This is a film that's entertaining in that weird "its an indie so I'll forgive it" way. Still, you'll be pondering the plot holes when its over and shaking your head at the cheap plot devices used to trick you.

If you're in the mood for something different and entertaining, this should fit the bill.

6.5 out of 10.

Entertaining is about it. You have to watch the credits to actually see the end of the movie. Almost missed that little point. 7 out of 10.

I don't think this is the movie I watched today.
