MS has become the company that offers "good enough" solutions. They still scare me less than Crapple or Google, though.

The sad thing is there's nothing that MS has done that Linux isn't already doing better and easier. I've spent far less time and had far more easy success getting things to work on my new Linux Mint than I did on Windows XP 64.

Linux is now more user-friendly and idiot proof than Windows.

.Net is a boatload easier for software development than *nix programming.

In some respects. There's been a few times (mainly when I need to invoke system commands) when *nix is 10x more pleasant than Winblows.
