I've had spotty results with Netgear. Have a 4 port wireless hub that wouldn't talk wifi consistantly to my Xbox. Ended up getting a Cisco Linksys which is a pretty awesome little box. Allows for an external harddrive to plugged directly into a USB port on the hub and creates a media store. The device gives priority to this traffic.

But now I'm off wireless with my Xbox, so it doesn't matter.

I have assigned "reserve IP address X for MAC address Y..." and DHCP just keeps assigning numbers randomly.
