More of a thriller/slasher film than a horror film.
A young girl's family is slaughtered by a teacher who was in love with her. He's caught, but escapes in time for her senior prom.
This film is really odd. It comes off like a drama and not a horror film despite the killing.
Also, you really need to turn off your reality switch. I can't stress this enough. Everyone is stupid. Everyone. The killer, the kids, the cops, the parents, the new parents, etc. I mean REALLY stupid.
The problem is that the story here doesn't advance without the stupidity.
The performances are ok, with the exception of the killer who wasn't very good.
Skip it.
