10000 B.C.

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Not at all the movie I thought I was seeing based on the previews.

For example, I was surprised to hear the characters talk as nobody says a word during the previews.

The story here follows a young villager, whose father had turned his back on the village (but not really), and the hottie he wants to be his wife. The story starts off briefly with them as children, and then progresses to when they're young adults.

An event occurs straight out of Conan prompting the young man to journey across the land. Something his people never did.

This puts him in harm's way of the wildlife and other people living in the region. Eventually, he travels all the way to the source of why he had to leave his village.

This movie is ok at best. In fact, there is NOTHING original about this story and I'd argue that the writing was, quite possible, one of the laziest attempts at writing in the history of modern cinema. Basic elements in the plot aren't explained, such as the main character's link to wildlife. Hell, the villains and their motive was nothing more than Earth history twisted a bit to fit the story. On top of that, there's a ton of subtle racism throughout the movie.

The acting was ok, the girl is smoking hot, and the effects were pretty good, but I'm having a really hard time trying to think of anything about this film that merits a recommendation.

Nope, can't think of anything.

3 out of 10.
