Surrogates
Sci fi movie with Bruce Willis. Peeps never leave their houses anymore and instead drive good looking robots around in order to do their jobs and stuff. It ends up looking like Second Life except real.
Didn't completely suck, as long as you can assign "because he is psychotic" to peoples' motives.

If you haven't seen Zombieland by next weekend, I'll try to bug the wife into seeing it.

It's one thing to say "no horror," because she doesn't like to be scared. So she won't watch Shaun of the Dead, because zombies, even though I tell her it's more romantic/buddy comedy than horror. But then she loves Lord of the Rings, even though the Ringwraiths are arguably scarier than anything in a lot of official "horror" movies. I don't get it.
Also she doesn't like Tarentino movies because he was in From Dusk til Dawn which I tricked her into watching like 10 years ago, and it had vampires in it.

So what three Disney/Pixar movies a year do you go see?TheCatt wrote:LOL.
My wife won't go to movies that are a) violent or b) depressing. But she's pretty clear about it.

We make about 1 movie a year. The last Batman movie was probably the last we saw, and Wall-E, and spiderman 3.Malcolm wrote:So what three Disney/Pixar movies a year do you go see?TheCatt wrote:LOL.

It's not me, it's someone else.
Saw this last night.
It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. They had Bruce looking really old and weak, which I'd be willing to bet hurt the film's take. People want to see Bruce kick ass and/or crack jokes, not remember to drink his Ensure.
Interesting concept, and one that could arguably become reality. Although, not as soon as they say in the film.
To be honest, the story is pretty dull. Every character is really shallow, and you'll have a hard time giving a shit about anyone or anything that happens.
I guess it would be an ok rental once it hits the dollar rack.
