The Rocker

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Dwight Schrute, I mean Rainn Wilson, stars as an aging former drummer who finds a new opportunity with a high school band.

That's really all you need to know about the story.

This is a funny movie, but more in the family friendly genre. Most of the humor is not adult in nature, but there are subtle dirty jokes. The drama comes from both teen angst and the typical fear people have of getting old.

My only real complaint is that there are a lot of music scenes with no point other than you're listening to the band.

Worth seeing once, if only for the scene of Rainn chasing down his former band's van.

6 out of 10.

I liked it.

Was sad watching the two kids in the band getting all ready up to date because you knew it was going to end badly and derail their band and ruin their chance of big success.
