YAR : Total Recall - yet another remake

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

at first I thought you meant they were making a movie of Yar's revenge.

I dont remember caring about the back story when I was 8. I think it was something about humans invading/being invaded, and alien striking back.

(googles it)

Revenge against other aliens

Not as shitty as you'd imagine.

In fact, I'd say it explains his situation better than the original, the chicks are WAY hotter, and the action is better.

That being said, it doesn't have the...style (?)...of the original.

I do dig the storyline changes, despite the flaws in their logic, but why not just make a different movie? Why make this a remake? It immediately draws comparisons, and will piss people off. This is a story that could have stood alone.

Oh, and no Mars, which sucked.

Still, I can honestly say the movie worked well enough that I wouldn't tell people to avoid it. It just shouldn't have been "Total Recall".

It was good enough for a workout movie... but that's about it.
