Vantage Point

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

A terrorist attack and assassination are presented through the eyes of different people.

A very interesting concept that is kinda, sorta pulled off...if you turn your brain to the "entertainment" setting for the duration of the film.

The claim is that the plot twists and turns, but it really doesn't. It simply doesn't give you all the facts in a chronological order. That being said, you should easily identify the major players right away, you just might not know their motivation until later. Of the two biggest twists, one is ruined in the trailers and the other is pretty easily figured out. I mean the exact moment the first seed is planted, most movie buffs should know " _ ____."

Anyway, the acting is decent enough, with special mention of Sigourney Weaver and Forest Whitaker who shine. Forest, in particular, is given the opportunity to steal the movie and does, although I did not follow his character's motivation at all. It was like he had a bit more back story that we didn't see or hear.

Overall, it was entertaining, but not a classic thriller. A movie that you won't regret seeing once.

6 out of 10.
