Wanted - Spoiler Thread

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

So all of these assassins who are doing the work of fate are all so fucking stupid that they never once think to double check the Professor's work?

Even when his tricks are revealed, Angelina Jolie STILL TAKES HIM AT HIS WORD, and executes all the people who he says were on the list, including herself, but not Wesley? How does that make sense in any way?

Why did his dad have super abilities, but nobody else did aside from the curving bullets?

The graphic novel opens with Wesley's father watching two men fuck. He's not gay, but every now and then he limits himself to only gay sex for a year so that he always savors women properly. That's when the hit occurs and still does involve the decoys, but they never show the gun or who fired the shot. In fact, they never do.

Fox doesn't meet Wesley at a pharmacy. He's at a restaurant ordering lunch and to prove what power The Fraternity has, she kills all the other diners.

In the graphic novel, The Fraternity is a group of super villains. Many years back they joined forces and murdered all of the super heroes. (It's the DC universe. They don't name or actually show you Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Robin, etc., but they do...) Now they rule the world in secret and can get away with anything. They keep it a secret because there are other realities where the villains didn't do this and if the heroes there got wind of what was occurring here, they know they'd lose that power. (The DC Universe is a "multiverse" made up of multiple realities, like one where Superman landed in Russia.)

Anyway, in the graphic novel, Wesley murders his best friend and cuts him into pieces. His boss was black and used racial slurs against him. Wesley rapes women once he joins the Fraternity. There's a scene where he walks into a police station and kills everyone just to blow off steam. The professor is a little white guy and Wesley's ally, not his enemy. The main bad guy is a member of the Fraternity in charge of Australia. There are no curving bullets. Wesley's super power is that he is the best killer alive or second best... (I'll leave the ending a surprise for those who read it.)

So based on what I just wrote, you see why the movie is an abomination. Why pay for the rights to a book that you barely use any of the source material from? Why use that title? They could have easily changed the character names, not killed his dad, and instead have a full movie with no connection to the book.

Instead, they bought the rights then realized they didn't have the balls to actually make it.
