Brokeback Mountain - The Review

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I know you've all been waiting for a review of Brokeback Mountain and since my wife rented it over the weekend, I saw the opportunity to get one. I did not watch it, not because I'm against homosexuals, but because I'm against boring movies.

Thus, I asked her for her honest opinion on the movie:

"It's gross."

(I thought that was enough as it's funny, but to be fair I just called her and asked her if it was good beyond the gross stuff and she said "No, it's really boring.")

I haven't seen it either, but I've decided that you don't want to see it because of homophobia deriving from your own insecurity about your sexual identity and preferences, and I don't want to see it because any relationship movie is boring.

In my defense, I did watch this, so I've got that over you.

WARNING: That link contains MAJOR spoilers for Brokeback Mountain.

So, in essence, it's a chick flick without the chicks?

Can't see any reason to watch it.

Yeah, the cries of homophobia annoyed me. I didn't care for Titanic. Am I ship-o-phobic?

I always thought Titanic was such an insult to the victims of that disaster.

Your lives were so meaningless and dull that to get people to care we had to create a phoney love story.

The whole story of Titantic should have been about man's arrogance not some cheap slut. People thought we had conquered the seas and mother nature said, "Nope, you're still my bitches."

I thought the perfect end to Titanic would have been the spirit of her dead husband meeting her on the other side and bitch slapping her.

"What the fuck do you mean you had a huge ass diamond stashed in the closet all those years? I was working myself to an early grave working 60 hour weeks you fucking bitch!"
