Probably not, it would be hard to fit into the show. At least on Buffy it made thematic sense to have a demon with the power to induce people to sing. And here its the chosen genre of the show. No excuse to do it on Firefly, though.
Which is a shame because it would have been great!

As good as the total package is, and as powerful as the ending is, I still think I like Act II best. And that's rare that the middle of something is so well done, usually that's the boring part.
My favorite moment of it all (besides the nearly very end) is the bit in Act II at the start of "Brand New Day". Actually, thinking further all my favorite moments in this revolve around subtle bits of performance from Neil Patrick Harris (those two just mentioned, "Whatever", "Balls", most of the blog shots, etc). He knocked this one out of the park something fierce.
I knew he was good at comedy, but I never knew he was just such a solid actor in general. Very impressive.

Yep, I definitely got a new found respect for NPH. Never actively disliked him, just never saw him in enough stuff to actually like him. Also, have you seen those TV commercials he's been in, lately? Can't remember what they're selling, but NPH walks around in a hospital and says lines like, "I used to be a doctor for pretend."
Rumor has it These 3 episodes will be hitting DVD due to their popularity.

They will, and they're planning to do a musical commentary as well. No, not just a commentary on the musical, but a commentary that IS a musical. That should be weird.
