Wanted
So, the premise weak unless there's some good backstory there that isn't being given away in the trailer (yeah, right, like anyone can avoid doing that anymore). But it looks like a not-too-horrible excuse to do some really cool shit.
I'll watch it.

Neither are movies that I'd want to emulate.GORDON wrote:Reminded me of a cross between The Matrix and Jumper.
Well, maybe the Matrix minus the incredibly shitty acting and a few questionable plot choices.

Read the graphic novel. It's pretty bad ass.
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
This movie is an absolute abomination.
I say that as someone who read the original graphic novel, which could not be more different from this movie.
Wesley Gibson is a total loser who gets recruited by a woman named Fox to take his murdered father's place in a secret organization called "The Fraternity." That's the basic plot and the only things this movie and the original work have in common.
The writing here is just sooooooooooooo bad. You've heard the phrase "dumbed down"? This is beyond that.
I cannot get into an explanation on that without getting into spoilers, so I'll do that in a different thread.
The curving bullet thing was just stupid. This was an invention for the movie to try and give "The Fraternity" a difference from regular people since they abandoned the source material. It results in, quite possible, the worst climatic showdown in movie history. It's like getting into bed thinking you're about to fuck Heather Graham only to get a handjob from Rosie O'Donnell. Just remember "Even if the bullet curves, it still needs velocity..."
And the stupid arm swinging thing...ugh. Yeah, if I swing my arm like I'm throwing a frisbee it'll make my bullet curve.
Morgan Freeman, the best actor alive today, dropping F-bombs was cool, but completely wasted here.
3 out of 10. (The points are for the visuals.)

Yeah, same category.
They should start a new Oscar category:
"Movie that took the biggest dump on the source material"
