Tonight was the second episode, and I can safely report that this is a good series so far. Chuck is a guy that works at a Best Buy store. His old high school buddy is in the CIA. Buddy goes rogue and steals massive amounts of classified data, which he emails to Chuck right before he dies. Chuck opens email and watches images which are essentially downloaded into his head, and now he's a walking secure information database.
Yes, it sounds silly, but it's actually pretty good. What drew it to my attention is Adam Baldwin - aka Firefly's Jayne Cobb - who plays one of the three main characters: John Casey, NSA agent and new hire at the Best Buy to keep Chuck under his thumb.
I like Adam Baldwin. He sells bad-ass pretty well, and makes the show worth it. Although I'm not sure if the show would work without him, so if you aren't an Adam Baldwin fan then nevermind.

You know why NBC is a last place network? One of my favorite shows, Chuck, had its series finale last night, and I didn't even know it had started up yet this season. I was waiting for midseason for it to show up.
NBC has sucked at promoting its shows for years now, and this is a prime example.

Chuck finally hit Netflix, and I watched the entire series over the past month.
It was a pretty solid show, despite the number of coincidences in the story, and the recurring issues with the intersect.
Just an excellent cast from day one, and you could see the chemistry.
The final season (season 5) was a mixed bag for me. I thought some of the writing was exceptional, particularly the humor, but the overall story felt forced. The whole season was a goodbye to fans of the show, and they racked up as many cameos as they could fit into it. (Big name cameos were a huge thing with Chuck.) They also gave massive shout outs to the sponsors that supported them when NBC wanted to can the show in years earlier. (This might have been the single most fan driven show in history. By all rights, it should have been cancelled, but fans flocked to Subway begging them to save it, so they did.)
I thought the writing got really bad towards the finale. Sarah's motivation was complete shit, and had more holes than swiss cheese. Plus, a few of the characters didn't stay true, which is always a huge negative for me.
The finale itself was decent, particularly the Jeffster appearance, and ended the series in a way that seemed to fit for the viewer. Although, I think they needed to give Sarah one last line to end the show.
I'd put this show in the same genre as Eureka. It's a light hearted comedy-drama (mostly comedy) geared towards the nerd community.
Recommended.

I liked that show, but the premise suffered from an inevitable escalation problem. The root of the show was random nerd dragged into crazy spy stuff, but as time goes on of course he's less random nerd and more spy himself.
Really a show like that can only have about two good seasons in it before it starts to flounder.
