Movie- A Scanner Darkly
I rated it four stars, so I must have liked it, but now months later the only thing I can remember was that there were some people whining about life, that some guy was a total asshole, and that there was a very large wtf factor.

Except for the whining about life, that can accurately describe about every David Lynch flick ever made.TPRJones wrote:I rated it four stars, so I must have liked it, but now months later the only thing I can remember was that there were some people whining about life, that some guy was a total asshole, and that there was a very large wtf factor.

I should have it viewed by the end of the week. Bumped it to the top of my queue. Normally, I at least enjoy Linklater's films. Slacker & Waking Life spring immediately to mind. But, goddamn, I just hate Keanu.

Wow. Many conflicting thoughts on this film, but the negative outnumber the positive. Didn't like Keanu or the goth chick from Edward Scissorhands. On the other hand, Woody & Robert Downey, Jr. were alright. But Robert's character started to piss me off. I've never been a huge fan of Phil Dick, either. I think that began cos I didn't like his endings too often.

Well, I GOT the ending. There was some bits in the middle I don't understand after having seen one viewing.
I also am not entertained by extended scenes of people having DT's. It was interesting the first time I saw that years ago, but now it's YEAH. WE GET IT. MOVE ON.

Usually associated with alcohol abuse, I applied it to the fictional drug in this movie.TheCatt wrote:DTs?
