Dev Patel directs, co-wrote, and stars in this movie about revenge.
It's a good movie, but flawed. The action is kick ass and John Wick-esque, but separated by long periods of no action. Also flashbacks galore. Seriously might be the most flashbacks in movie history.
There's also an 80s training scene ala Rocky 4. Not kidding. It's at this point in the movie when all of its gritty realism falls away. They still try to stay on that path, but the credibility is gone.
Went a bit long at two hours.
Definitely showcases lots of Indian culture. The guy who plays drums with his fingers was pretty cool.
Worth seeing once, but lower your expectations.
