House has earned my respect

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

So I can start DVR'ing it in HD.... I assume it is on one of the Big 4 networks?, and watch those after I finish season 3.

Based on the linked Mad TV skit, what is the appeal of this show? (House, not Mad TV) It looks really stupid.

I believe I just saw some of the admitted House fans bitching about other shows that got repetitive, so why is it ok for House to do so. I'm very curious.

Is House "must see"? Or is it just a good character that compels you to tune in despite weak writing?

I think it's must see. Because even though you can fairly accuse it of being repetitive, somehow it's still compelling and fresh every time.

I think Thib just sold me off the series.

You ought to find and watch the first couple episodes to get a real feel for it.

He may be the same guy every episode, but he's a funny smartass and that is fun to watch.

Started watching the season 3 DVD's.

Someone be a lamb and let me know when season 4 is going to start so I can set the DVR. And tell me what network it's on, because I have no clue.

Must have been accidental. The pink slip got lost in interoffice mail between the executive floor and the production studios.

Heard House being discussed on the radio a few months ago. It's a modern day Sherlock Holmes. Even down to his apartment number. Both are drug addicts. Both are more interested in solving the mystery than they are about the victims.

Hadn't thought about it before, but they're right. It was lifted right from that template.

That's what they said. I've never noticed it on the show, but I've been looking for it since then.

Heh. I like the way they did the self-referential thing:

"It could be Lupus."
